Berlin Strings - Notes
Berlin Strings is our flagship string library featuring the talents of Berlin's best string players to provide you with an unparalleled assortment of sampled string articulations for your compositions.
The string section is unmatched in its expressiveness and versatility. To make intricate arrangements possible with all the sonic possibilities of the instruments, we went to great lengths to our knowledge unparalleled in orchestral sampling so far. Berlin Strings sports a huge array of short articulations with sometimes more than 20 RRs, deep-sampled legato with an innovative script adjusting to your playing and of course a large complement of pre-recorded runs. All runs are compatible with Berlin Woodwinds, so you can play woodwind/string runs in perfect sync. We also again included Playable Runs patches which allow you to play custom runs.
Whole Ensemble
The Whole Ensemble provides essential String articulations mapped across the whole range. All instrument break points are carefully mixed to avoid harsh breaks, which makes these patches ideal for quick sketching.

Violins I
The eight Violins I are the heart of Berlin Strings and contain a host of 37 articulations, including several "Blurred" articulations, which add a lot of realism by allowing you to add detuned (= more human) samples to your mockups. Layer these sparingly with the regular articulations. Also included are Repetition patches, several Trill types and lots of other articulations. In addition to the Adaptive Legato present in all section, Violins I also have a special Fingered Legato as well as the Ostinato Arp Legato. This Ostinato Arp Legato has legato 3 slow and 3 fast RR transitions to avoid "machine-gun" on ostinato patterns where the same interval is heard more than once.
