About Tallinn
The evocative sound of a unique music culture, bridging a thousand years from the ancient to the contemporary. Tallinn features the world-famous Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra plus two organs-all recorded in the iconic Niguliste church. With a pure, wintry, "Nordic" sounds, Tallinn equally well suited to early music as to contemporary minimalism and avant garde, adding distinctive textures to dramatic scores, underscoring, and any other expressive compositions.
Choirs
The two choirs in Tallinn are able to sing various syllables. These are mapped as Round Robins, so you can pick which ones you want, and are identical between the two choirs. The sustains use ooh for the lower layer and aah for the higher layer.

Strings
Tallinn's chamber strings have a minimalist, icy surface and a warm core-perfect for ethereal, meditative parts and dark, thrilling cues alike. Moving beyond basic articulations, the strings offer multiple long and short notes, plus flageolet, tremolo, and extra-long sustains. All almost devoid of vibrato, for a decidedly modern and distinctly Estonian sound.

Organs
Tallinn contains two beautifully sampled pipe organs. We sampled various stop combinations for both instruments. Each organ has three "Instruments" in SINE Player:
1. An Instrument combining the manuals and pedal to be played on one keyboard. You will hear a range break between manuals and pedals at C2. 2. the "Manuals" instrument, which generally extends one octave into the respective "Pedals" instrument. Use this if you want to play just the manuals on one MIDI channel. 3. the "Pedals" instrument, which has all the pedals (+couplers). Use this with the "Manuals" instrument if you want to have the pedal on a dedicated MIDI channel.
The combination names are abbreviated inside SINE to save space. The list below lists the full names, in the format "Division. Stop, Footlength", where division signifies the part of the organ this stop is from, Stop describes the name of the stop and the footlength decribes the pitch. An 8' pipe sounds at the pitch played. 4' an octave above, 16 ' an octave below, and so on. Note that there are some stops, called "mutation stops" or "aliquots", that play one or more overtones of the played pitch. So when you play a C, you might hear a G. This is normal and by design.
