Produced in collaboration with composer and multi-instrumentalist Richard Harvey (The Lion King, Interstellar, The Da Vinci Code, Mulan), Andea offers a diverse array of instruments from South and Central America. The 61 instruments selected from Richard's personal collection offer sought-after-sounds featured in several successful soundtracks. These unique plucked-string, wind, and percussion instruments instantly evoke distinctive landscapes and the authentic sounds of rich musical cultures.
Plucked Strings
The plucked-string collection features a rare Paraguayan harp, which lends an authentic yet mysterious and magical character to soundtracks. Andea also includes multiple guitars and lutes-from ronroco, charango, and 8-string ukulele to tres, tiple, and guitarrón-to give you a range of timbres for solo passages and ensemble playing. Add color to melodic lines with tremolos, trills, slides, and bends. Provide rhythmic accompaniment with chord and strumming articulations.
