Downloading Instruments on macOS 10.13 and 10.14
This article is only relevant if you are using macOS 10.13 or 10.14!
If you are using a newer version, you will use the regular MyLicenses!
macOS 10.13 and 10.14, SINEplayer do not fully support the prerequisites of MyLicenses. To display and download instruments, SINEplayer will fall back to an alternative MyLicenses view on these systems.
After you have installed and activated SINEplayer, open it and click MyLicenses to go to your MyLicenses area.
Here you find all your licensed instruments and can download them directly.
Note: Generally it is best to download from the standalone version of SINEplayer, but you can also download right from the plugin. Note that only one instance of SINEplayer can download and install instruments; other instances are read-only. Learn more about this at Running multiple instances / using Standalone and Plugin together.
MyLicenses lists all collections and instruments where mic positions are available to download. It will not list content you have already installed.
To download, click the mic positions in the instruments you wish to download. Please note that this view for macOS 10.13/10.14 is a fallback solution and does not (yet) offer the same features as the full MyLicenses. We are working on that and value your feedback!
Currently, this view does not support updates. To make updates, delete the exiting instrument(s) and re-download.
It is also not currently possible to select Quick Kits or particular mic positions across a whole collection. You need to click every mic position. Again, this is currently work in progress.
Once you are satisfied with your selection, click the Download button in the top left.
You will be asked to choose a download location SINEplayer will install to. You can pick any location - make sure there is enough space! SINEplayer will download individual instruments into the folder, into sub-folders with the name of the instrument. So ideally choose a folder that will exclusively have SINEplayer instruments.
Once the download has been confirmed, the Download View (which you can reach any time with the rightmost icon in the View Selector) shows all current and future downloads.
When finished, the instrument is immediately available and playable in the Library View, even if other instruments from the same collection are still downloading.
